Q 1. What challenges did Jeremiah face, and how was he able to meet them?JEREMIAH was a person with feelings like ours. When Jehovah informed him of his commission to be "prophet to the nations," he cried out: "Alas, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah! Here I actually do not know how to speak, for I am but a boy." Nevertheless, trusting in Jehovah, he accepted the assignment. (Jer. 1:4-10) For more than 40 years, Jeremiah contended with apathy, rejection, ridicule, and even physical violence. (Jer. 20: 1, 2) At times, he felt like giving up. Yet, he persevered in declaring an unpopular message to a largely unreceptive people. In God's strength, Jeremiah accomplished what he could never have done on his own.-Read Jeremiah 20:7-9.

Further on from last weeks study, here is another twisting of the facts. Jeremiah did not preach "house to house" and he preached for only 40 years before judgement came upon the unworthies. Jehovah's Witnesses are forced to preach 'house to house', they've been preaching for 3 times longer than Jeremiah did, they've flip flopped on numerous doctrines, changed the meaning of the word "generation" several times and Judgement Day is nowhere in sight.

In reality, there is very little that Jehovah's Witnesses have in common with Jeremiah.

Thanks again Blondie for all your work...

This article makes me really reflect back to all the pioneering I once did...there was a time I did enjoy it, but that was mostly
when I actually went all by myself.

Q 5. What is one way we can muster up boldness to preach?

The challenge today is perhaps not to get the courage to go, its people are not home. Most couples both work to support the family
these days, and there is a lot of shift workers.

Q 8. What approach has helped some Kingdom publishers to start Bible discussions in the house-to house ministry?

Perhaps actually using the bible and no Wt literature at all may help...I do recall many good times where the bible was all I had, no book bag,
    no tracts nothing else.

With the internet today people are reading and watching Youtube, hopefully people are becoming aware and prepared when witnesses call.
That should be the greatest fear soon for the WT.

    The Power of Listening

This is the biggest thing of all listening, most witnesses think they listen but they don't, they cut you off in the middle of your
thoughts on to the next point. That is not being compassionate to their thoughts and feelings at all.

A friend had that happen to him just last week, avoiding your questions and on to the next so they do not have to reason, put them on the
cold spot with bible only, make them read the context in the surrounding verses and they are totally lost.

    Thanks,Blondie

Q17 JW comments they(people) will be sorry that they didn't listen to us.Who are they to judge.

Also comments focused more on placing literature and GB/FDS, God's org.than Jesus/bible.

Proof God's holy spirit backing ministry because look at all the increases in countries under band.Right on I guess there in no God's holy spirit in the western countries because look at no increases.
