  Gullible JW grandparents told me:

  "Coke is so bad for you that if you put a nail in it, it will dissolve."

  Somewhere around 6th or 7th grade I learned about the pH of stomach acid.

  But since I liked my grand-parents I didn't poke their "anti-Coke" bubble.

  I'm still anti-Coke, but not because of it's nail-dissolving properties.

  Sounds like Urban Legend. People used to say that coke can dissolve marbles. If that was so, you couldn't bottle coke.
