Economic Crisis!

Our economic crisis is nothing compared to what people in other countries have had to endure. To put it bluntly, it was much worse during the First Dark Ages when a few lords owned everything and everyone, and usually were quite stingy with assets. People under them had to slave for their lords, and were allowed next to no leeway for innovation.

And, if the Washtowel Slaveholdery ever succeeds in buying or forcing out our governments, they will plunge the world into an even worse Dark Ages. The economy will be like nothing we have ever had (the First Dark Ages would be the closest, but this would be even worse). They would have 9 men (a number that could fluctuate) that would own everyone and everything on the planet, and have the technology to make sure no one in outlying areas sneaks anything that they will not seize. You will need their permission to buy, sell, use, or create anything. Everything you do needs their permission, under penalty of being stoned to death. And with their setting the precedent of being stingy, the economy would be absolutely the worst it could possibly be.

    Cameo-D! Your question: What's next?

From my prospective and research: If we have arrived, It couldn't come at a better time. The end of the world is not what God promised. He pledged a new world order under Christ Rule not man's.

If this is the time for the manifestation of Christ coming in kingdom power we can expect it will happen.

Why? 2Pet.3:9. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

2Pet. 3:4. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”

There will be an end to the futility of this present life.

Rom.8:19-21. 19 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay.

Is Christ making ready for the war of Armageddon?

Rev.19:11. Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war.

    The war of Armageddon begins.

Rev. 19:19. Then I saw the beast and the kings of the world and their armies gathered together to fight against the one sitting on the horse and his army.

    Next: Satan restrained.

Rev.20:1-4. Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. 2 He seized the dragon—that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan—and bound him in chains for a thousand years. 3 The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while.

Satan now contained, the war against error continues thru the millennium reign of Christ for the living and the resurrected dead.

Rev.19:13-15. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his TITLE WAS THE WORD OF GOD, 14 The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. 15 From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod.

Christ was the WORD: The sword of his mouth a firm rod of direction.

John 1:14. And the WORD BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Heb. 4:12-13. For THE WORD of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Isaiah prophesies about what takes place during the millennium reign of Christ.

Isa. 2:2-4. It shall come to pass in the latter days
that the mountain of the house of the LORD
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
    and shall be lifted up above the hills;
and all the nations shall flow to it,
3 and many peoples shall come, and say:
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths."
For out of Zion shall go the law and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 He shall judge between the nations,
    and shall decide disputes for many peoples;
and they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
    and their spears into pruning hooks;
nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war anymore.

The war of armageddon is over with the Devil's demise.

Rev. 20:10. and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

    Death ends:

Rev.20:12-14. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

    Righteous get life:

Rev. 21:3-3. And I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them; and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away."

I have to say i think Americans are ignorant thinking that the suffering that may be feeling or going to feel is "so bad and couldn't be worse". Try telling that to the hundreds of millions that barely have enough to eat every day of their lives.

Yes, so very true Paul. Whatever befalls the U.S. economy will not come close to the dismal conditions under which the subjects of the Soviet Block lived - just to give one example.

I have heard it said by historians that a person's historical perspective begins the day they are born. Many people lack the intellectual curiosity to read up on history; therefore, their historical perspective is only a few decades long. Not only do many Jehovah's Witnesses suffer from this lack of perspective, but they have a form of "selective amnesia" when it comes to the countless predictions of the Watchtower regarding "then end" of this system.

I believe that the U.S. goes through certain cycles that repeat themselves. I believe that the current conditions are quite similar to the early to mid-1970s. There was a costly and unpopular war, an incredibly unpopular President (Ford), and worsening economic conditions (high inflation, 9% unemployment, and an energy crunch). At this time, JWs saw around them the "undeniable evidence" that 1975 was going to bring Armageddon.

A large number of JWs were not even in the organization back then. Those that were are now repeating the same hysterical "end is near" mantras as they were back during WWII and during the 1970s. Some people refuse to learn from history.

What is the fascination with this constant focus on 'end-times' prophecies??!!! What use is it?

It's incredibly ironic (and highly annoying) when people focus on one part of the Bible to predict all this 'end-time' stuff and ignore the parts that say that we will never know when the end will come until it is upon us and it's already too late for people.

"But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." Mark 13:32

    Seems quite clear to me.

"Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. [For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." Mark 13:33-37

While that portion seems to say to look for (predict) the end, it doesn't. It is telling us to be READY for the end.

The end of the world is not what God promised. He pledged a new world order under Christ Rule not man's.

Can you give book, chapter and verse for that? I think you are making that up out of your own schizoid imagination.

20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse.

So, is this a good god or a bad god? This god sounds schizophrenic, too.

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit

You skipped over the part where the MPD angel Michael/Jesus comes and actually opens the pit and releases the locusts and demons to torture mankind. So, is this a good angel or a bad angel?

Satan now contained, the war against error continues thru the millennium reign of Christ for the living and the resurrected dead.

So brat satan only gets a time out?

the war against error continues thru the millennium reign

What? So now we got a 1000 year war that continues? Are you listening to Hagee or some other pompous ass? Where do you get this crap?

He will rule them with an iron rod.

This does not describe Jesus. I think you are getting your deities mixed up.

And I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,

Who is the 'voice'? Ed mcmahon?

WTWizard, I bet that waht you said is what their paradise will be. 'Slave for us or die!" i'd rather die at this supposed 'Armageddon' than like to suffer though it with a fear like a Damocles Sword over my head.

JWFacts, I kindly request that you do not lump all of us Americans in as one. We are a very diverse crowd. Some of us get a clue. :-)

Ya, I heard this line from a family member this week. I got the whole, "THIS IS IT" speech. His "theory" is right now people truly are "faint out of fear". It's an economic fear! Then when crisis is over, that will be the cry of peace and security!! AND THEN THE END WILL COME!!! Although I heard the same thing as a kid in 75', and then in the 80' with the UN's year of peace and security, then in the 90's, and then on 9/11.
