This was so funny!!! A friend of mine is involved in a bitter divorce, custody, visitation situation, for a close relative of hers. She got a copy of the long, involved court report, and in that report, we are mentioned as being "postdates" of JW's, which means "that they talk bad about other witnesses, sort of like being the control of Satan." I laughed hard on that. As I kept reading, she later calleds us "prostates". She needs to make up her mind, and learn a few things too.

The point of all of this was that the wife in the divorce was accusing a relative of not being a good influence on her child because she associates with known "postdates". No mention made that she, herself, sleeps with anything that invites her, and hasn't been to a meeting in years. What a religion this is, eh? I suspect she will be laughed out of court.

Hmmm, I've always been a little concerned about the old prostate, never been called one though. Now my sweet little pioneer daughter in law did manage to get the pronunciation correcet a couple of nights ago and called me an apostate. I told her as soon as she and my son pull their heads out of the sand, they can be one too!! *S*

That would have given me a good laugh too! postdates sounds like it could lead to premarital loose conduct. And maybe that would fall uner being guilty or porneia? Either way, reproof would be in order! Watchtowely speaking that is.

not trying to always be on a serious note , but i couldn't help but reflect on a conversation i had with my fahter in law this AM

Mulan your post highlights just how powerful the wt influence is in its members lives-

here you have a woman who is sexually active with others yet sees clearly that to speak against the mouthpc of god is worse

just like my mother-in-law -- she views me as a "HOMEBOY" of Satan himself- i promised her when i left bethel to marry her daught that i would help her daughter to be a faithful servant of JAH - now look at me

ihave never hit or slapped or been abusive to her daughter since we have been married for almost 14yrs--her daughter has always been finely dress and looking good ever since the day i married her

i have taken care of her-- yet despite ALL of that it means nothing since I'm running around dogging the org

the org has taught them to veiw us worse than anything other type of person that can be labeled by org

i can think of no label that envokes PURE FOAM AT THE MOUTH than to say that a person is an apostate

thier sheer hatred is almost fightening - we had a post awhile back that asked if jw were told to kill apostates would there be JW whow would and while i'm sure for many that would be the straw that breaks the camel back and they realize this ain';t the truth

but there are others who would carry our such an order with a SMILE ON THIER FACE

YOUR post was on the money in showing the sad mindset that a jw has

and while you really can't get upset per say for many of us felt the same way- I know I did- i hated apostates even if it was my MOmmy

so i can only say that the mindset unless it is released will always be there

i'm so thankful that i was willing to look on the net

if not i would have been giving a talk somewhere here in Washington DC telling the friends to REMAIN LOYAL TO GODS VISISBLE ORG

Funny how many think that applies to those that have left. Ray Franz didn't. However it typified many of the elders and others I knew. They were of the opinion that only a % of dubs would get through Armaggeddon!
