leavingwt's scan of the first W/T reminds of a little experience. I once visited Bethel and they had on display the first ever issue. I read the opening sentence "That we are living in the last days.....are facts"
I thought at the time, how sad it was that the first sentence in the first WT was totally wrong - having been written in 1879, and we believed that the last days began in 1914,
It did not make me question the faith though....
