Did it take half of your sanity?
Did it take half of your house, or just it's value?
Are your meals half the size?

Things are tough all over, but I bet you come out okay.
At least you still have your wife. It would have devastated you to lose her.

Don't identify too much with your material posessions. That way, if you lose them, you will retain a sense of self-worth. This sense will give you the strength to carry through to better times.

Look on the bright side. When she divorces you and gets half of what you own, she is only getting 25%. God bless the economy!

    Average over past 10 years
    Now dropped to 18%
    Still good
    Already made my moves
    to secure last year

    Have a big cash box

If you put [Rimshot] after the joke, or maybe said "I tell ya, I get no respect. No respect at all."

In either case, I would have gotten it.

Let me show you with a recent experience:

Last week, I told my counselor, "I keep thinking about suicide." Instead of
trying to help me, she said, "From now on, I need you to pay in advance."
I tell ya, I get no respect at all.

I was so depressed after I found out about the JW's being a maniputative cult.
I went to the 20th floor of a tall building and wanted to jump. My wife sent the
presiding overseer from the congregation to talk to me. His first words were
    "Ready...Set...Go." BA-DUM-BA.

I'd rather have the economy. Divorce? That is the worst.

Economies as they go have their ups and downs throughout history, in North America and globally its been pretty good for awhile now, so to not expect a down turn

is not within reason. People will become more frugal in their spending habits for awhile , the recent economic problems in the US will be a learning lessen for the next set

of government polices. Globally things are slowing down so its a situation that many countries will have to overcome and work to resolve.

I wouldn't agree that a weak and dissolving economy is worst than a divorce for the simple reason that economies are not personal, everyone hurts a little and everyone

suffers a little too, on the other hand a divorce is very personal and eflects pain directly at the individual to whom is going through it.

I've personally been through a divorce myself so I'm speaking through experience .....Take care OOMPA

Speaking of the economy, President Bush said he would happily stay on in
Washington to advise whichever candidate becomes president. All he asks
for is room and board. He is quoted as saying, "It's not going to be a good time
to find a job in this economy. I gotta take what I can get." BA DA BOOM
