The Bossert was remodeled and used to house Bethelites for some years.

Neener neener.
I wondered that the WT didn't fancy it up with discounted JW materials and free labor. Seems they could REALLY make a steal if they do that. Well, in the economy of 3 years ago maybe. Now they'd have to sit on it for a few years. -

here is an even better phallic symbol..Catholic, not WT.....it is really the "Our Lady of the Rivers" statue in Portage De Sious, Missouri, along the Mississippi River:

It is a beautiful building, but the window air conditioners look tacky.
Let's hope they are stuck with a building that is draining money from their coffers for awhile.

I work in multi-family real estate. Credit for speculative deals is non-existent at the moment, I'm not surprised a deal this big fell through. I AM surprised that the WTBS isn't trying to finance the deal itself (unless I'm mistaken and they don't own the building outright). At 6% interest and a thirty year amortization the payment would be $500K and change a month. That's not chump change. The fact that the WTBS isn't doing something creative suggests they need cash. Bad.

Very interesting.
I've been wondering why I did not receive even an auto-reply from the BrooklynEagle weeks ago.
I emailed them re: this sale and the link to this forum.
Interesting indeed.
