I think my favorite subject is geography/travel. I really enjoy learning about other cultures, lifestyles ... geographical makeup of different countries ... foods. In an ideal world I would go everywhere, and ALMOST everything at least once.

It is my goal to learn something from everyone I meet.
Everything!
Lately, I have been reading about the evolution of human intelligence, and violence among primates. I have lots more reading in the sciences planned.
I also am enjoying reading great American authors that I have not read before. I have read tons by Ed Abbey, and am currently reading his biography (I went hiking with the author on his book tour a few weeks back), and Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow. I am working my way through Salon.com's book on Contemporary American authors.
I am also reading books on home schooling and unschooling and the wife and I are considering opening up our house to candle making classes for kids and adults.
At this point, I am in about 3 books at a time and loving it!

New discoveries in evolution, filling in all the gaps, speeding up the day that all gaps are filled in and religion, once again, departs the field of debate with its tail between its legs - as always happens when the church takes on science. It's only a matter of time.
Otherwise, I wish I could learn the play the piano. And will some day.

I love learning about history, travel and other cultures, the natural wonders of the world, and generally anything that helps me learn about myself and other people.
Sorry for such a general answer, but I am interested in just about anything, generally.
I like to learn about how things work. Now, that covers a lot of territory, from the universe to a new fangled invention. I like tp read and watch programs about science and invention. Of course, how things work takes into account history and people as well.
I like to learn useful stuff. Love educational tv when I have tv at all. Psychology fascinates me, so does language especially semantics. I have no math skills but physics fascinates me nonetheless. I'm also interested in meteorology and geology.
ANd I love to learn new practical skills, cooking, gardening, simple crafts.
