You already have the truth inside you.

Your attatchment to things you can't control can get in the way of your perception of truth.

Sitting meditation, walking meditation, pausing to find your center or start over, and the refusal to attatch to states of mind that induce suffering can help nip dukkha (dissatisfaction and suffering) in the bud.

Practicing mindfulness is like waking up in your life.

Faith in your abilities and in the process of Zen techniques such as meditation and mindfulness are necessary for finding your own truth.

What is "truth"? Truth is "that which is", and it exists prior to the mind's interpretation of what is, it exists beneath/beyond the mind as it interprets, and it exists after mind falls silent. That within you which "sees" is "truth" - being truth, it never changes; being truth and never changing it cannot be affected by anything else; being truth and being within you it is always available. It naturally allows everything to arise, giving space for all phenomena no matter what that phenomena is. It is silent, still, and peaceful - it is what "you" are in reality. It is the mind that gets in the way of knowing truth.

Truths have dissappeared, as i explored, using mediation. So have a lot of exteraneous beliefs, thoughts and emotional rides. A measure of peace and seeing the bigger picture have replaced the mental churning. Thinking and thinking ability is said by wt, to be paramount. However, a person can easily get lost in thoughts. Too many trees in the forest. For a seeker, a person searching for truth, they can find it be removing all the false, all the idols, ego constructs, etc. As the forest is thinned, the view becomes clearer.

Yes. The "thinker" in the head never shuts up. The lower levels (or are they higher?) get drowned out in the noise. Many layers.

The thing about "truth" is that all descriptions of it fail - all talk about it comes across as "double talk", that's why it's confusing to people who look for an answer for truth in the mind.

'It is the mind that gets in the way of knowing truth.'

How's that for a truth? Don't get it wrong, the mind is great. But like a hyper, over friendly dog that get's into everything, get's spit all over you, and never leaves you alone; it needs a master. Be master to your mind, not a servant. Make it lie down and shut up, every once in a while.
