If mast is Britspeak for a radio antenna, then definitely.

THE reason I ask is because today on the inernet, I come across an item, didn't really read it,because it was about a jw congregation saying that a mast(phone?) might interfere with their public speaking equiment.

My brain works in mysterious way when I hink of a possible post subject.

Dunno the answer, but it reminds me of a story:

Back when I was giving talks all over the circuit, I always ended by reciting a couple of "experiences" to make the aduience feel good about their decision to be dubs. One of the most popular was a story about a man who was fine-tuning his hearing aid while sitting in a church when he accidentally tuned in the sound system from the adjacent Kingdom Hall. Thus the man sat in church for many months nodding his head but actually listening to the "good news" being preached next door. Finally, one Sunday he parked in the KH lot and went into the hall, where upon meeting the dubs all were astounded at his grasp of theocratic truths!

I thought of that story when I read your post. And I realized that, in fact, the same story is undoubtedly told in many churches... except that the denomination's roles are reversed.

Absolutely, if you have enough power running through the antenna. The super powered transmission would jump onto the speaker wires for a piggy back ride from hell.....You could even do it from a car with a side-band cb radio and a 500 watt booster if you were say in the parking lot within a few hundred feet. That is if they are being cheap as usual and using unshielded speaker wire.....
