We go through 2 stages of emotion when the first snow falls. 1. Excitement, wonder. So beautiful! 2. If it is not completely gone in 24 hours we feel like we have just begun a prison sentence.

hey, the southern Californian is going to Indiana for Thanksgiving. I hope I see snow! To you it's a prison sentence, to me it's a vacation! I usually see snow from a distance - it's on top of the mountain, I'm down in the desert looking at it.

When it snows it's really beautiful...until the next day when it turns to ice and you have to drive on it.

The first snow is always wonderful....how I miss those days....There is a softness/stillness in the air. Here in Florida we are now in the dry season, still warm, with everything shriveling, turning brown, and looking horrible. r.
