Those are so funny..
I was shocked when it was announced that the Circuit overseer and another sister were disfellowshipped.
It seemed she (Late teens early 20's) offered to help him (In his late 40's at least) type up his talk as his wife was in the hospital. One thing led to another and...They did IT!... He got a double dip..a divorce and a disfellowshipping..
The girl went on to reform and repent and got reinstated. She, after reinstatment, started dating another brother who was as nice as he could be..they always had a chaperone and didn't even kiss until their wedding
(Or so they said)
Then there was the older sister that got nervous giving her talk and wet her dress and chair she was sitting in.
And we too had the fall off the stage in a chair happen. The brother that set the chiars up for the sisters had set it too close to the edge..
Then there was the time my son (2) wet his pants while he was sleeping and the pee was running down the floor in front of all the sisters I was talking to..we were standing behind the chairs he was sleeping in. (No carpeting)
Then there was the time my son locked himself in the bathroom and started crying for Mommy..as I was giving a talk..I just kept on going as they eventually opened the door and let him out..I got a very good review for continuing the talk...what a good little witness I was..my son was scared out of his mind!. He was only a few years old.
Then there was the time my kids ..while working with another sister..ran across the lawns yelling to me at another door ..."Look Mom, I sold some"...
Then there was the time I was studying with a very nice lady and she told my son he could play with her childs toys in their room. Well he was being very quiet and when it came time to go I called for him..no answer..I called again and his reply was..."I'm pooping Mom"...I turned that study over to someone else...
Or the time our congregation was being rebuilt and we had to attend a congregation in a seedy part of town for a while. I came out of the book study to find the 1957 chevy (that my hubby had just painted and restored )...with the doors all open and the panel in front ripped to shreds..they had just ripped the radio and everything else out of the dash...boy was he pissed.
Or how about the time my entire family got food poisoning at an assembly? That was REALLY fun.
Aw..the memories really takes me back...
Snoozy...
