Thanks Blondie for your excellent coverage of this wks Washtower magazine. You should have been an elder in a past life.

I do so appreciate the work you do to bring us latest info but the satirical side of the WTS literature along with its stupidity.

I will miss seeing your wonderful posts when JWD comes to an end.

    love

agreed.... she has been posting them over at JWS..... http://www.jwsupportforum.com/index.php?board=3.0 is this lesson over there..

Blondie...are you going to continue to post WT Comments over there or are you retiring after JWD calls it a day?

Thanks Blondie for your great effort each week.. in making clear distinction between what is said, what is meant

and what happens in the real world if we would choose to follow WT advice ! Seeing through the gloss.. a reality check !

I kept hearing about this girl that was kidnapped and killed, now I know why they're all babbling about that.

Don't know what I'd do without you blondie!

Great work, as usual, Blondie.... hmm, I wonder why they didn't publish Memorial attendance figures for several years after 1925... anyone care to guess?

And as for Jehovah providing escape for Rutherford and his cronies fromtheir 1918-1920 travails, Rutherford's creaven decision to excise the offending pages from subsequent volumes of The Finished Mystery, deserves credit for having provided a big assist! (I wonder how many JWs thoroughly understand the issues and facts relating to this episode in their history; no wonder since if they know anything, it comes from sources like this!)

I take issue with this WT quote

We might ask, 'Did Jehovah fail to be "the Provider of escape" for faithful ones whose lives were cut short?' That could hardly be the case.

I think rather than use the word "fail" it should read "choose"

We might ask, 'Did Jehovah [choose] to be "the Provider of escape" for faithful ones whose lives were cut short?' That could hardly be the case.

Failure would imply that "Jehovah [attempted] to be "the Provider of escape" for faithful ones whose lives were cut short" but was unable to save them.

I think God simply picks and chooses based on a number of undetermined variables. If he sees you might be a small part of his will he might spare you, if you're not useful to him he will let you die. It's that simple.

I can never understand how God "clothes the lillies of the field" and "number the hairs of our head" but can't save JWs (or anyone else) from a murderer, rapist or acts of war or civil disturbance.

Really, this is the kind of mental gymnastics that this poor father had to do to convince himself that God had some sort of saving influence.

In that sense, Jehovah did protect Theresa; she was serving him faithfully at the time of her death. I have found peace in knowing that her future life prospects are in his loving hands."
