Fascinating! 🖖 Child labour built into the system and even provided for in the early literature! At least in the early days they allowed for the kids to get some compensation for their services. When did the articles start coming out that children were to be as much labourers for the kingdom as the adults? I assume the hardline stuff about forcing kids into service would be Rutherford era. Were kids expected to lug phonographs around everywhere?

“ Believe it or not, even today, Jehovah's Witness children receive "bribes" to influence them to serve in the ministry work! ”
When I was a kid, or later, nobody ever offered me a bribe to give up Saturday morning to go out on the work ….. Why didn’t I get One ?

My mother offered us 'reverse bribes.' Either we went out and participated in field service, or we would receive a painful beating.
I would have preferred the financial incentive.
