The two reasons Witnesses think they are the Truth

  Well then, Jehovah doesn't care for humans in Islamic lands and China
  very much. He prefers Americans and Europeans over Indians and Asians.

  Worldwide preaching work- MY ASS.

  A well placed commercial by LDS on television reaches more people than
  all the Saturday morning door-knocking that same week.

  A guy with a bullhorn in a crowded marketplace gets the message of Jesus'
  love to more people than the JW's sitting on a park bench with their magazines
  propped up on their laps.

  Any single act of kindness does more good than getting your hours in.

  For the record my two are...

  1/ they are the only ones that worship Jehovah alone in direct accordance with the first commandment that Jehovah is only one god.

  2/ preaching work, they are unique in this. mormons do it but they do not teach bible, only the book of mormon with occasional reference to bible (I once had an interesting time with a mormon many many years ago he with his book of mormon in hand, me with my bible)

  For those that say the preaching work is ineffectual and results are disappointing considering the effort, therefore should be given up, it's a good job Jesus didn't feel that way when he preached considering he preached to, fed and healed thousands but in the end only 120 were available for the holy spirit after he died.

  When their rule is that
  "We are the only ones involved in a worldwide preaching work of the truth"
  (or some other similar rule) the key is not to even bother helping them see
  that there are others. They just point out that Mormons or televangelizers
  or whoever are preaching a falsehood.
  
  In reality, this worldwide preaching work is not their reason. They think
  that JW's preach THE TRUTH. It's that TRUTH that needs to be tackled.

  JWs are not pacifist. They justify all the killing in the Bible and would go to war if Jehovah (the Watchtower) told them to.

  My dad always points to the preaching and that they have love among themselves.

  What a crock! There are endless stories of JWs who have treated others like crap.
