I know I am late to the party, and I know I'm "resurrecting" (teehehe) an old post- but yeah, this wasn't anything that was made up. I know because Mark Juntunen is my uncle.
I knew a sister who wrote celebs b/c she was sort of delusional and thought she was one herself. She did occ get a response back ( general polite thank yous) and she would mail literature to them. I can only imagine what celebs feel like when they get mail from crazy people who send them religious literature and think they could maybe be their new best friend.
