    NO NO NO

To be truly qualified to teach on the Bible, they would need to know what it ACTUALLY says, and only using the laughable NWT they cannot have a clue.

I found in recent years that a good 98% of Witlesses cannot even defend their own beliefs from their own Bible unless they use something like "Reasoning on the Scriptures" and then they have no concept of the context etc. of the verses they pull out.

Hardly qualified to teach! They should be prosecuted under the "Trades Description Act" !

Not with their biased interpretation of the Bible. Especially if they learn only to take it out of context and twist the meanings of things around for their own purposes.

They will also back up that they do not have need of qualification as the spirit qualifies you, I think they quote romans.

    NO!

JWs are NOT qualified to teach a Bible Study.

They ARE qualified to teach a Watchtower Book study!

The JWs are walking tape recorders that play back exactly what The Watchtower wants them to play back. No deviations from the Watchotwer script allowed!

And they say they aren't a cult?

No, including myself. One of the reasons is that I was too dependent on publications. Another reason is that we never really learned what others believe, the society would only give us a quick glimpse of another beliefs so that we could get our point across. Everyone knows a good teacher knows there subject frontwards and back wards and other views and opinions, I never was this well equipped even though I sat through meetings for 40yrs.

Given what the bible is, a hodge podge of stories and myths and some facts.

And given a God that really doesnt give a dam.

Anyone could be up for a teaching spot.

And you can find just about anyone pontificating with the bible.

When you get down to it. Its a tool of business.

Some people buy a bar, they sell beer and alcohol and hire a band on the weekend and are constantly recruiting people to be their customer. The allure is to feel different and forget about your problems for a time and maybe do a litlle business networking. Tools of the bar are alcohol and neon lights.

Other people buy a church, or rent a storefront, they hire a band or piano player and are constantly recruiting people to be their customers, parishoners. The allure is to feel different and forget about your problem for a time and maybe do a little business networking. Tools of the church are a bible, a preacher and a pulpit.

A lot of people go to church or the bar once a week.

Then those that are called fanatics go several times a week.

Those that are out of controll and obsessed, filled with the spirit, buy the bar or buy the church.

The majority of JWs have never read the whole bible.
    - The closest they have come to doing so is the receiving of the conducted tour of the scriptures, as provided by the WTS.

That, in turn, is the most that they are qualified to do
i.e. taking someone else on a similar conducted tour of the bible.
