Yes it is!!
In Hungarian "barack" means "apricot".

The word barack is a collective term for both apricot (in Hungarian sárgabarack, lit. "yellow-peach") and peach (in Hungarian oszibarack, lit. "autumn-peach").

Yes you are correct. In everyday speech most Hungarians however would say "barack" referring to apricots and "oszibarack" when referring to peaches.
