We tend to forget that it is high summer in Australia around Xmas time. December = cold!
Weird thing is that a selling point for a house over here is a "South facing aspect", its where the sun always shines. Unlike OZ, the sun NEVER appears in the north.

You're right Englishman, it is coming into summer here and it was bloody hot and humid this morning (I was thinking: "It's just like Christmas Morning!")
I just remembered something else about the conversation last night: apparently the Kingdom Hall is going to be subject to a "quickbuild". It's going to be in a few months' time - interesting huh? I'm tempted to write a letter to the Illawarra Mercury abot this little scam, requesting that they get a photographer out there every week to photograph the huge amount of preparation which goes into a "quickbuild". Then, when the Dubs issue their press release and invite the Mercury to showcase how good they are, the Mercury can then turn around and have a centrepage spread showing photos of the months of preparation that went into "putting up a Kingdom Hall in two days"! Failing that, I may get up on the bridge over the road with my digital cam from time to time and take my own photos, to be put on a webpage, showcasing the "quickbuild". What do you think - will the Dubs be amused?
