Sorry, I got to agree with Elsewhere. The plausibiliy of the Bible is a personal matter of faith and I will give anyone the opportunity to believe or not believe. However, I don't think anyone has the right or authority to proclaim their viewpoint as a truth and not expect their viewpoint to be questioned by others who could easily dispute matters of faith which cannot be proven.

Sure, the Scripture said that those things would be done away with. But it didn't say WHEN they would be done away with, did it? It could be a hundred million years from now when those gifts are done away with.
Those who claim to have "special knowledge" that those things were done away with when the Apostles passed on, are just pulling their opinions out of their keysters.
