I was at McDonalds the other morning and I walked up to the counter beside my brother. The girl was having trouble getting the cash register open and had called the manager over.
My brother's amount of purchase was $1.05. He didn't have any change so he gave her $2.00. The change was $.95. She gave him a nickle. He said you keep the nickle and I get the $.95. That's how the cash registry got closed. Anyway the manager thought my brother had given her only a dollar and he wanted another dollar. My brother said,"Why would anyone lie for a dollar?" The manager said people make mistakes though.(Implying my brother had made the mistake) My brother said,"I know, and I forgive you." If you could have seen the expression on the managers face, I had to turn away, it was so funny.
LOL Ken Come on tell the truth your brother was really hitting up McDees for a buck What I find so sad really is those who actually have no math skills at all working day in and day out with a cash register. There have been way to many times, I have handed back money to those who are too willing to give it away because of an error on their part. When I first started working back when I was 16, I never put the money in the register until after I had their change, that way there was no mistake what was given to me. Of course that solution is way to simple huh?
BTW great to see ya around, everytime I see your post it makes me nostalgic for North Carolina Of course I still have my pics, but still not the same thing. Have a great day wendy
When I worked at McDonald's we had to do it all by hand and in our heads. We had a paper pad you marked down the order on, then added it up in your head and rang in just the total. There was no amount tendered key either so you had to make change in your head too.

Sounds like my girlfriend. I once said 'I forgive you'. She replied with 'Your apology is accepted'. I was speechless. And there was no arguing with this brand of logic, under the circumstances.
You should be here in NC now. The weather has been sooo beautiful in Nov. and now Dec. It's 72 degrees today in a cloudless sky. I don't think the winter is comming this year. Every day has been this way lately. My back yard swing is getting worn out by me and my friends.
