cnn.com said he was eligible for parole in 9 years. Either way, he's going to be behind bars for a long, long time. And at his age, he might very well not survive. I like what the judge had to say to him: "At the beginning of this trial I didn't know if you were more arrogant or more ignorant. Now I see that you are both."

I was able to find a general reaction on the verdict from the La Antonia Times, but nothing on the sentence.
