I would've made the time, but I was guilted into not wasting time with hobbies.

    Yes.

I studied more than was necessary.

That is part of the reason I am outta da cult today.

Well since I didn't have a life outside of the borg, I would say "yes". I did my spiritual duties and had plenty of time for my hobbies.

I had no hobbies and no free time. I was not a well rounded person.

This is one of the most frustrating things about JWs. Let's say you have a common interest with someone- like sports or music. When it comes time to spend with that person they are often too busy going out in service, writing up a talk, or studying. And even if you get together once, doing so on a regular basis is almost impossible. Plus all the emphasis on doing more for the borg guilts you out of your personal interests.

Just to say....I found it difficult working 40+ hours per week, attending meetings, being an MS/Account servant, service time and "THEN" just trying to get household chores accomplished let alone hobbies. Who in the h#ll had time for hobbies. I was freakin' wore the f#ck out!!

I made the time for hobbies and other personal things. If I was supposed to prepare a talk for the TMS but felt like playing computer games, I played the games and cancelled the talk, usually at the last minute. Then I'd stay home from the meeting and play even more.

Yes I had time for personal things when I was a witness.

Maybe because I was young I was raised a JW and left at 31.

When I was in my 20's I had energy.

And the organization gave me optomism.

That armegeddon would come and get me out of the jam the organization put me in by not getting and education or a good job.

Also I think they printed advice in the awake how to manage your time.

Today I could never imagine going to the meetings and field circus and working.

I never seem to have enough time to do what I need to do with out the truth.

Which tells me, I dont manage my time very well,

And I dont have any direction other than the grave.
