My 10 year old loved horses for a while. All she wanted was horses.
She loved Racing Stripes.
I also suggest beautiful horse ornaments.
Maybe a horse ride together.
Do not get plastic horses or posters of horses.
And no to acryllic nails. My 13 year old doesn't even have them. They damage nails that are very young. But maybe a mani/pedi day. They'll do a pared down version for kids. Some even offer gift certificates. It's great for them to feel pampered and spoiled.

horrible life
My daughter got her first set of nails, 4 years ago with her Christmas money. She paid for the first set. I was under the impression that they grew out, and you kept clipping them off. HA HA HA!!!!
Boy was I wrong. You have to go every 2 weeks to get them taken care of. $20-25.00 every 2 weeks. They bring her such joy. No joy for me however. Nails can wait. As already said, they grow up too fast already.

I'm thinking of acrylic nails for her too.
NOOOOOOOO !!!! (Yknot screams in horror...... as a nurse and former nail tech)

Instead : Why not go with an age appropriate spa theme
Give her nail grooming kit, nail art set (stickers, rhinestones and polish (you will definitely need clear polish to 'set' the decals) can be bought at Walmart or Target), and monthly visits to get a natural mani/pedi (french tips(white polish painted across tips) are worth the extra $3-5).
Also consider a basket of skin care. (cleanser, toner, moisturizer (night & day(SPF))...... I like Burt's Bees but consult her mom too as about skin sensitivities.
Then finish off with bath set..... again popular and easily found at Walmart/Target from $5-15.
Find out what fragrance she likes best too!
Here are some of the examples of what my daughter has...(book by Sherri Haab)
But the most important gift you can give is your time and attention.......... that will mean more then any purchased products in the end.
