Can JWs Celebrate Krismas?` (Not Christmas)

According to http://krismas.org/, Krismas is different from Christmas in that it takes the celebrating of Jesus birth out of the equation. Celebrating Krismas "is about giving gifts, especially those “from the heart”; it is about the magic of childhood; it is about peace on earth; and it is about goodwill towards humankind. It is about the universal truths of goodness that surround this time of year."

So, if it is not actually the celebrating of Christmas, but rather a brand new holiday then it wouldn't be based on pagan origan and it wouldn't involve the birth of Christ, I see no reason why JWs wouldn't be able to celebrate it.

I think JW's should start their own brand spanking new celebration that has no pagan origins. That way the GB will have to find some other reason for finding fault with it. Maybe they should have millenium type celebrations in 2014 for 100 years since Jesus allegedly came to power?

The key here is if ANYBODY else does it...they wont. They have to have exclusivity. As soon as a non-JW does something it becomes a worldly (read Satanic) celebration.

The only people more boring and lifeless than JWs are the dead.

That doesn't make any sense because they celebrate weddings that not only have pagan origans but also have non-JWs attending with JWs...
