I might add that my daughter wanted lights put up outside around the door, and some in the bushes under the windows. If that doesn't bring the wrath of the local elders, I don't know what will. We are expecting "the visit" soon.

Since we are unnoficially shunned, what difference does it make?

I love listening to Christmas music. It has made me feel very connected to my European anscestors, as many of these songs are really ancient. Just think, we are decorating trees just as those before us did hundreds of years ago in many snowy places.
