Wouldn't need to fly that way. Just port into the sky and free fall a bit then port back to solid ground.
The first thing I would do is port to the opposite side of the globe for a hot beverage and look for a geocache or seven with one of the friendly natives.
Then I would start a courier business with the slogan - "When it absolutely positively has to be there NOW!"
