Nothing says Merry Christmas like cold, hard cash.
This year, Google is giving its employees an iPhone wannabe:

I expect we will start seeing several on eBay soon!
All my hubby got was to get his job back at a lower pay scale and a dozen sugar cookies
Honey Bunny works at Yahoo, this year I thought they did something really cool. They donated 50 bucks to the charity of your choice. We already had a ridiculous over the top party. This seems more like what it's all about. And the giving tree, which I just love. We get to shop for some little kids again.
We also got to continue to be employed.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind having the phone they're giving out. It's just that for a multi-billion dollar corporation, it's a little different.
Some folks don't get a Christmas bonus, and some of those same folks get to work on Christmas.
It's odd how the Christmas bonus has gone from being a welcome but unexpected display of generosity to something of an entitlement.
Don't you worry LWT, Google is the enemy in my house
It is a global unlocked phone, with wifi. Blows away iPhone. Nothing to sniff at. Of course, if one complains about that, they give traction to the claim that America has become a nation of whiners.
yes, it does blow away the iPhone, which my daughter just returned home from Japan with hers, brand new, $499, extremely glitchy.
I think an enterprising employee could sell this on ebay if they chose to.
Google doesn't owe them anything--it's too bad people couldn't be grateful for receiving a GIFT, which is what a bonus is.
I don't get a Christmas bonus, and I get to work Christmas. :( Although Verizon does give out a yearly bonus around Feb.
