My mom has gotten more calls and visits from the elders in the last 10 days. All are them are checking up on her to see if she's in need of anything. Interstingly, the new CO will be visiting starting today.

3. Certain brothers would take the week off to "work" with the CO as well as auxiliary pioneer that month (no one could see them though the other 3 weeks)

i remember a brother gave an experience at an assembly that he had an opportunity to make a years pay in only 2 weeks. The problem was those 2 weeks were during the CO's visit. After prayerful consideration, he turned down the business opportunity and enjoyed the blessing of the CO Visit.
At the time i was a hardcore believer and i still thought he was crazy!
