Yeah early Woody (pre-Perv?) I liked a lot. Not sure if they were better or my humour was more juvenile. Favourites were Play it Again Sam and Bananas.

Back in the 70's I thought he was the greatest thing with "Bananas", "Sleeper" "Everything you Allways wanted to know about sex"

    Then we drifted apart.

I have "Small Time Crooks" in my collection that came out in 2000. It's pretty good.

I bought a comedy album by him in the 70's that was pretty good also, it was a double album.

One of his jokes was how he was almost killed by a mad preacher who hurled a bible out the window and hit him in he heart with it and the only thing that saved him was a bullet he had in his pocket.

He always acts the neurotic looser who is in therapy. At least in his comedy album from the 70's

I also have a book by Woody called "Getting Even"

Overrated... but sometimes people like him get treated like the story of "The emperor's new clothes"... only the 'really smart' can see the humor... LOL me? I'm just the little kid that tells it like it is...

Sorry, I could never get his humor. When I saw Annie Hall they got the 2nd and 3rd reel switched, no one noticed.

Avishi: Dammit, I'm shaving my head! LOL.

LMAO!!...you are reaching back so far I thought you were headed for back or low neck!...funny but a few years ago went to the beach with several couples and we got stoopid on the beach with our cameras and all the guys started shaving each others backs out on the beach...it was a crazy laugh fest...people walking by stopped and a crowd formed!

Now back to my WOODY..............I loved just about all he did with Annie Hall and prior....not much after that...but the orgasmatron and pure slapstick and even his standup material back then was my kind of humor..........no wonder blondie does not like my humor!...lol..........................................oompa

Geez, how could I forget "Play it Again Sam" And "Everything...." !!!! I thought the music and the New York scenes in "Manhattan" were gorgeous, but the undertones of the film were kinda ewwww.

It was the 70's, who can explain it...it just was.
