page 157:
When the judicial committee is convinced that the
disfellowshipped person is genuinely repentant and should be
reinstated, an announcement of the reinstatement is made in the
congregation where the individual was disfellowshipped. If the
person is now in another congregation, the announcement will be
made there as well. It should simply state: "[Name of person] is
reinstated as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses."

Hey, I feel I have been reinstated on this forum after being shunned and not allowed to post on JWD.
The phrase in the OD book, page 157 is "[Name of person] is reinstated as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses."

That is a frikkin announcement I never EVER want to hear regarding myself.. rather have a second dfed announcement!!!

It was interesting when they began instructing the congregation not to clap after a reinstatement announcement. I never figured out exacltly why that change was put into place.
However, I do remember some humorous episodes when the friends were allowed to clap for reinstatements. I remember a couple of times when very popular and well-liked individuals were reinstated: the applause was thunderous. And then, an individual who rarely attended and was not well known received maybe three or four claps. That had to hurt.

If I was slung out for Apostasy,which is on the cards (Tarot of course) I would threaten to sue them for slander as I consider myself to NOW be a "Jehovah's Witness",in the sense that I witness to the truth from the scriptures about Almighty God.
Of course this bears little resemblance to any Watchtower teaching.
I would never seek to be re-instated into a cult.
I do think though that any person in my position,either being DF'd or DA'd should insist that the most that can be announced is that "Big Fat Wobble is no longer associated with the Watchtower Society"
