So...I was speaking with a friend that is still in. (long story) anyhow, he told me that there was an article against Metro Sexual males. Something along the lines of over adornment and too much primping. Vanity. I guess, I laughed so hard I about ripped my seams.
It was sooooo damn funny. I had no clue that a clean and upbeat man as far as styles go was a "devil" thing. It was a good laugh. Does anyone have the article. Maybe I will laugh some more.
My mom scolded me for being too "vain" when I was an emerging teenager, curling my hair and all. It really affected me, and I became the kind of person who doesn't really think much about how I look. Which is a bad thing.
the last JW 19 something males I noticed in the wild probably needed a little metro sexing...
You know the look... split up two suits for the "sportcoat and trousers" look... but the contrasting vest made it for me. Skin care (soap, water, shave, barbershop haircut) would have been a plus for this kid too. The whole herd of em ... looked like a bunch of JW studs heading for the DC last summer....

I dont think I'd be much good at it... There isnt much of a market for guys like me who know why there is a "spur ledge" on a boot... or why Wranglers have a flat inseam.
These kids all looked like they were poster boys for "Big Lots".... Hard to believe it now...but I used to dress pretty nice when we had to head to the big city...

Hillbilly, I know what you mean. I used to really dress up too. Last time I saw some witness girls they were really showing a lot as far as body parts. I thought to myself...."Hey, didn't I get totally marked for that?"
I think it is a congregation to congregation call on what is OK, and what is not.
Heh, come to think of it I do seem to remember a scripture about Jesus admonishing the Pharisees for using "product". :)
