Welcome back Sylvia! Sounds like a nice place.
Have a really nice New Years Eve
Thank you, darling Newborn.
I hope you will have a good year, also, and that fortune will smile on you.
Sylvia
I'm glad you're back.

So, what did you bring us?
It was just a wee trip.
My oldest daughter took me to get me out of the house.
I asked her not to take the freeway (fast driving still scares me), and she complied.
It's an old plantation that was begun years ago by Greek settlers. They wanted to establish a winery, but things didn't ferment. Lame joke, but please indulge me.
I'm sending everybody a virtual sample of feta cheese and baklava.
Doesn't it taste good?
Sylvia
You forgot the squeaky cheese
I had to google that one, Mrs. J. Never heard of it until now.
That's some of that Yankee stuff, I believe.
Squeaky Cheese
These pop-in-your-mouth mild morsels of cheddar are so fresh that they
squeak! That's why they are called "squeaky cheese". Mild in flavor
and a kid-favorite, the curds are taken from the vat before the cheddar
is pressed into blocks and aged. This cheese is meant to be enjoyed
right away, so munch by the handful right out of the bag or warm in the
microwave for about eight seconds for a delicious treat.
It's called Halloumi. I had it at a Greek resturant once.
The stuff we learn here!
I have got to get out more.
