Certain Witnesses always seemed to be getting into trouble. (Maybe you were one of them).
Did you gravitate toward these ones or did you avoid them as much as possible?

JW Kids get away with a lot more, than JW Adults.....If your a JW Kid..And..You make people laugh, you can get away with almost anything!!..LOL!!.....But..There was no way I could get away from myself!!..LOL!!.........................................OUTLAW
I had friends that always created an uproar wherever they went. They were blunt and opionated and most Witnesses avoided them because they seemed to rub people the wrong way. And it seemed that if you were friends with them, somehow, you'd get into trouble or some problems would tend to dog you. Guilty by association.
Well, I'm going back a long way and I was a teenager and I wasn't real, real close with any of the kids my age. But they weren' close with each other either. I was definitely more attracted to the kids that were more getting in trouble and doing "worldly" things and were being counseled by the elders and receiving "shepherding" calls. I found them to be the most genuine, authentic, and caring people in the KH. I wasn't "scared" of them. I could be myself and express my true views with them without worrying that they were going to run tell the elders. Around the one girl my age that was Miss JW and her father was an elder, I found myself being a fake. I didn't like her. I thought she and her family were weird and she was a complete social misfit. Of course, most of us raised from birth as JWs are but she was worse than me.
I gravitated towards them because I was a concerned loving shepherd
I was liked by everyone..And......It`s not easy for Elders to go hard on you, when they can`t stop laughing..................OUTLAW
Good question! In looking back, it seemed my best friends in the congo always seemed to be the ones that ultimately got in trouble. My three best friends growing up all got DF'ed for rebellious activity and immorality. Makes me wonder if I was attracted to that "fringe" element in the hall.
Didn't really have the choice to form relationships outside of the organization which to me brought on more problems
since the ones that I was told to associate with were truly bad apples, pisses me off to this day that I had to hang with assholes
just because the religion said so.
The Halls always seemed to be divided into groups. There were the theocratic ones (and the ones that acted theocratically but were just good actors), the not so strong but very good, nice people, the weak ones and those that just hated being there but were there do to circumstances they could do little about.
