" I would be willing to bet that if all of those people who walked past him were told he was one of the greatest violinists of all time and offered to give them a free $100 ticket to attend his concert, most if not all of those idiots wouldn't even go."
..................Your most likely right..They`d rather sit in a bar, suck on a beer and listen to "Achey Breaky Heart" until the paint peeled off the walls..............................

Purps: Thanks so much for the wonderful youtube links. I personally don't think many of these people don't appreciate good music. It may well be that they are in such a hurry to get to work that they don't allow themselves the pleasure to stop and listen. It's a very sad comment on North American society especially.

I agree that there are many people that judge you in the way you're dressed. I'm sure many of us have experienced going into a store dressed in jeans and being ignored, falsely thinking that you couldn't possibly afford to shop there. I feel more sorry for these judgemental people; that they can't see beyond the clothes, and maybe see a very interesting, talented and/or loving person.

Music is such a wonderful thing. It's one of the things I am so thankful to my mom for; an appreciation and love for classical music.

Here's my contribution: jacqueline du pre http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjWV5rWaSWE&feature=related This woman played the cello like it was a part of her body. She was incredible.

    I loved this next one.

Farkel: take note of what Metha said at the end: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDRrugiqowc&feature=related You need to lighten up.

    Sorry, spelled Mehta's name wrong.

It's difficult to find anything where she just playing. A lot of them are documentaries.
