I will not hijack this thread but just this one more post. My point is that JWs think they are sooo elite, so important. The whole world and God revolves around you. I left the JWs thinking something like that. I can tell you, the other religions don't care about JWs, some don't know anything at all about them, for the most part they go about their business being "Christian" (that word is in the Bible) The Watchtower Society is just a small unimportant destructive cult. God never saw fit to mention them in the Bible. Over all The WT just fits in with the general population of false prophets, liars, false teachers, etc.

The Dubs are desperatly trying to MORPH into mainstream religion, but there iz just one problem. Az they let go of their BIZZAR teachings,along with their CARROT & STICK TRICK, people will, and are presently, leaving in droves! What do they have to offer now?
The insane, wierd teachings of the Borg at least made them seem unique, this forced them to reley more & more on eachother, the whole "persecution comlpex thing." People are starting to see "the TRUTH about the TRUTH iz a DAMM LIE" & for what? lol

Scriptures say if you put out truthful information on a regular basis it will set people free. That is happening in Japan and Denmark where organized efforts exist in the "real world" beyond the internet although the internet is also super good. In no nation will the WTS totally cease to exist but it is already hurting in major ways in North America, Europe and many Asian nations. Not even TV ads can save it due to its covering up pedophilia etc.

The problem of the Watchtower in Europe is not that there is opposition (which exists, but on a very small scale), but rather that there is complete indifference. People just don't care about the JWs or bizarre JW spinoffs, and the JWs themselves have become mostly invisible. The established churches have similar problems.
I'm also not sure about the simple causal relation "economic prosperity -> JW decline". One would have to do some sort of regression analysis vs. unemployment or GDP figures to be sure, but my half-educated guess is that this only applies to extreme cases.
