    Greetings, cameo:

A subject I've always found intriguing.

Whilst studying with the JWs during my very, very youth, my mom had a flurry of astrology mags about. I recall the ads (from which chapter - AMORC - or other, I don't know) showing a man splayed upon a stone slab, a lightning bolt shooting out from above and the words, "A split second in eternity." Wish I could find that ad. Have searched unsuccessfully.

Have to get back to my fiddling with the BBQ whilst the Roamin' Army's out and about!

Macy’s T-shirts: Illuminati Mystery Religion in Your Face

    Council of Nine

The Council is directly connected to worship of the Mystery Religions and claims to be the Ennead, or the nine major gods of ancient Egypt.

According to researchers Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince, modern Council of Nine disciples include cutting edge scientists, multi-millionaire industrialists and leading politicians. Most notably, the Council of Nine was associated with Andrija Puharich (also known as Henry K. Puharich), a medical doctor who established the Round Table Foundation, a private paranormal research laboratory in Glen Cove, Maine.

Famous folks connected to the Council of Nine include Al Gore and Star Trek creator, Gene Roddenbury.

    The Order of the Rose

Or more accurately, the Order of the Rose and the Cross. This is a secret Rosicrucian “brotherhood” order dating back to 15th century. It is associated with the symbol of the Rose Cross, the same cross used in “Blue Lodge” Freemasonry rituals. Its “adepts” consider themselves several magnitudes more advanced than common mortals and their “spiritual alchemy” derives from the Egyptian mysteries.

    Cult of the Serpent

Serpent worship is nothing new — going back more than 5,000 years — and is intimately related to Freemasonry and the Illuminati. 33 Degree Mason Albert Pike, in his book, Morals & Dogma, discussed the importance of the worship of the serpent in the mystery religions of antiquity. “Among the Egyptians, it was a symbol of Divine Wisdom, when extended at length; and with its tail in its mouth, of Eternity,” Pike wrote.

According to Dr. John Coleman, the Illuminati of today is directly related to the ancient Babylonian Serpent Cult and is “under the direct control of some very nefarious forces”

    Satanus

A guy i worked w for a while was rosicrusian, first level, i believe. There are currently 2 branches (the good one and the bad one;)). His branch met in the freemason hall. He said his branch was affiliated w the freemasons, the same thing, basically, except the crusians are more into spiritual practice.

If they practice the same/similar stuff as did the egyptians, i would like to know what those practices are, and see a solid lineage leading back to egypt for them. All you have is disjointed claimes, cameo. If you can provide some solid research, i would enjoy it, as this is something that i am also curious about. But, i don't go for von danekin or bamford kind of shit.

    Hi Cameo,

Found the picture I recall so well from Mom's magazines - a link to the PAST ...?

    BTW:

I found this JWN topic through Google: A Split Second in Eternity - Rosicrucians

Very interesting, Coco. That graphic is from 1962!

It's seems to represent astral projection or out of body experience.

I know this as a reality because it happened to me when I had a NDE. But as far as being able to do this at will....I dunno. I suspect maybe they are alluding that one can be taught such a thing.

One thing I do see in our "present system" is more of an acceptance of this kind of phenomenon.

In the past religion was seen as an enemy of science. Now, today, the two schools of thought are converging on many levels. Scientists now study consciousness, meditation, changes in the brain during prayer, etc.

Here is a more modern depiction of what seems to be the same idea as the picture you found. It also is promoting "cosmic consciousness".

Cosmic Consciousness: The Phenomenon of Enlightenment
    with Jane Lloyd

The cosmoconsciousness (enlightenment) experience has been a curiosity and an inspiration for many since the beginning of humanity. This seminar will include detailed discussions on the pivotal role the phenomenon of cosmoconsciousness has played in the development of many religions and mystical practices. It will put the phenomena into a broader context, taking a technical approach to explaining how the phenomenon is caused, what its mechanisms are, and what its implications are in terms of conscientiology (a new science to study consciousness) and evolution.

    They taught:

    sacred geometry,

    meta physics,

    acoustics,

there isn't an English equivalency of this word, the closest I can get is energy waves, which would be studying things like gravity, photons, electrons, the weak force, etc. Psychic energy is also one of the energy forms studied.

    astronomy, astrology, and cosmology

and another one that there is no English equivalency for, closest I can get is design of structures using sacred geometry and development of techniques for building structures using advanced physics and sacred geomotry. For an example of this look up the flying buttress.

here's another one there is no English term for, before the material universe existed, what existed was existence itself which was pure energy, all material things possess this pure energy inside of them and are connected to it. I know the ancient word for this but nothing comes close in English.

there are more but this is a good start.

The most important was sacred geomoetry, all potential students had to prove skills in sacred geometry or they were not admitted to the schools.

Thank you, Cameo, for responding and for the further, enlightening information.

Though I googled that SSIE AMORC image at the time of my original post, this current info - at least not the image of the man on the stone cross - was nowhere to be found.

My mother's Astrology magazines of the 50s and 60s contained that very image and advertisement. The image, coupled with that of the old WT cover of a huge tower, foreground, mountain and waterfall background, in strange and beguiling manner, formed a mental imagery that has locked into my being since childhood. I am obsessed with mountains, as is evidenced in 99% of my paintings and much of my writing.

As to CC, and that image from the '62 ad - well, I just don't know. It's fixed in my brain.

Little could my mom have known ...

    CC or CC?

CoCo: "It's fixed in my brain."

Does it call to you? Does it evoke a feeling of apprehension? Fear? Curiousity?

What was your reaction to it then? Is the intrigue different now?

Has it stuck in your head all these years because you felt a need to have it answered? Or experienced?

(Not meant to get personal, really. I just wonder if there is something about certain images that have a deep universal pull. And if that pull can be defined.)

    Hello again, Cameo:

No fear whatsoever. While curiosity is a natural response to the new and the unknown, I have always felt this aforementioned imagery of WT art and that of AMORC to be part and parcel of my being. Over the course of 50 years this has lain dormant, to be resuscitated, to slumber anew ... Now, however....

When I say obsession, I mean nonstop seeking and delving - delving into the inscrutable and learning that, essentially, the mysteries of life can be seen in a blade of grass. This isn't to say that I have no peace of mind in pursuit of whatever "unknowable" I seek. Through research and communing with Nature, not to the total exclusion of my inherent reliance upon Deity (for me it is natural [since childhood], not learned), I feel that I'm on to something. Your threads are certainly relevant to me. Thanks for your own curiosity and what I perceive as yearning.

Where does this NEED come from?
