Did any of you see the new program Lie To Me starring Tim Roth? It's similar to The Mentalist. The 1st episode had a young JW teen accused of killing his teacher. (He didn't). They showed his JW parents. They were stereotypical JWs.

    Interesting show.

The entire 46.42 min. show is on a site called Hulu.

BTW, do you like the misleading thread title?

i watched it last night after i watched the season priemere of lost (woot woot)

As far as the show goes it could be interesting. Shows some potential although i wouldn't be suprised to see it get the axe come show-nixxing season.

The JW of the aspect of the show was somewhat laughable. the kid could of come from any christian extremist family the JW title was just a lead-in. Any JW watching the show would have just scoffed, turned off the show and add the show to there list of instances of "persecution" from the world.

the storyline was pretty weak. i hope the show gets better otherwise im sticking to my guns and only turning on the tube wednesday nights to watch lost.

Hulu is great by the way. They have a few decent movies to legally watch online as well. I was suprised to see Requiem for a dream. Still gotta put up with the little annoying commercial breaks though.

    hmmmm

Roth was a little hard to understand at time, the accent sort of blurred things. I watched on HULU as well, don't much watch tv these days. The witness thing was silly. I did listen when he said "We're not of the world" and Roth's assitant said she spoke with an Overseer, that was right. I do think that many wintess parents guilt the hell out of thier kids and let's face it the kid reflected accurately the societies view of masturbation. The show was weak, gimmicky. W.Once

The boy's hair was too long to be from a "strict" jw family. And what "strict" jw family would convert a bathroom in the house for him to use as a darkroom. Also they did say that this family had had run-ins with other jw families, saying they weren't "holy" enough.

Yes, I noticed those oddities. The TV researchers have to better.
