    A high altar

Archaeologists at Megiddo have uncovered a large sacrificial altar nearly nine meters (about 29 feet) around. Within the sacred precinct are the remains of a large temple, which indicates the importance of this part of the city. Large concentrations of animal bones and ashes have been found in the vicinity. Scholars also feel that this altar saw the most insidious form of sacrifice in the ancient world—human beings.

(I think we will see a repeat of this in our lifetime...human sacrifice, but in a different manner. I think it will have everything to do with the agenda to reduce the world population.)

The chief deity worshipped on this altar would have been the Canaanite god called Baal, the ruler of the earth. His worship was connected to nature, especially rainfall. Baal supposedly controlled thunder and lightning, and his blessing on the land was essential for soil fertility and the successful growing of crops.

(I think we will see a return to this thru "eco-religion and "green spirit" religion. All established religions are beginning to focus in that direction now. It is the common cause of stewardship of the earth that has begun to unite world religions through interfaith activities.)

It is difficult to understand how a people could be led by religious and political fervor to carry an infant to an altar, hand the child to a priest and then stand by to watch it placed in the hot lap of a stone image and be sent sliding down into a blazing cauldron of fire—all in the name of a god.

(JWs do this every day when they sacrifice family and friends because the WT tells them Jehovah requires "cut-offs" as a test of their loyalty.)

Yet it happened at Megiddo as a routine part of life, accepted by everyone as necessary for the well-being of their society. The pagan idolatry reached its lowest form with this readiness of people to sacrifice their own children. The gods people worship determine the morals and values of those people.

I think there will be a final Armageddon and it is a pending event, in the not-so-distant future.

I think it might just be a war between apostates holding up lies to the light of day and the primitive Canaanite god Jehovah. I also think it will have to do with those who claim to be Jehovah's mouthpiece. I think the 144K (organizations, not individuals) will come forward to claim they are the Lightbearers and they will mislead many people. I think the 144K are affiliations that come from the modern day mystery school and the movement is of Canaanite origin.

NN, your descriptions of Armageddon picnic foods are making me hungry. I like the toga idea -- very pagan. Finally-Free and I could bring our parrots along as the "carrion birds" that clean up the corpses.

My parrot actually does enjoy picking at a chicken drumstick bone. He holds it with his foot and eats the bits of meat left on it, then chews the bone to pieces.

I think the bible was written by the aliens to controll us homo sapiens.

It is written for all times to keep people under controll always.

There are always wars and reports of wars, There are always earthquakes.

There is always pestilence and disease. And the end is always near.

Jesus said the end would come before his 12 apostles passed on, thats how wrong he

was and most Christians think he was God.

Maybe he was a little God like you and I.

Anyways, in case you havent noticed the powers that be controll us by fear.

Armegeddon is in their bag of tricks.

I think sooner or latter, the jews and their brothers the arabs will light it up.

And the Gods will retreat to their caves and tunnels underground.

And when things cool down they will fire it up all over again.

Because that is what they do here on earth.

The Gods conduct wars, tear shxt up and blow shxt up.

Just replace "Baal" with "Yahweh" and you have essentially the portrait of Yahweh in much of the OT (see Psalm 29 and 68, just for starters).

What I have been reading from the Summerian text is they didnt burn the little one to ash

They were delicacies, they barbequed them and ate them.

The Gods loved dinning on first born.

Kind of like humans eating veal.

    Jaguarbass,

    I agree with you.

I believe the "high priests" were priveliged cannibals. (Cain-Abels, 'Baal was probably slang abbreviation for cannibal )

And those stories about throwing young virgins into the volcanoes to appease the gods and halt the magma flow....well, I think that was one last secret luau before the big blast as they had no way to escape it.

(the info above post, in black type, was copied. Anyway, numerous documented archeological finds at buried altar sites often show bones have teeth marks which indicates cannibalism.)
