I was in South Florida and it seemed like we got the COs and DOs from all over the country who had earned the "perk" of being assigned to an area with year 'round nice weather.
Anybody remember:
Frank (can't remember his first name)
Hinderer
Park (he and his wife were Korean)
Kent and Becky Karas
There were a bunch more of course, but I can't remember their names.
"Miller"
Was that Ron Miller from the Chicago area?
T Bland
Ha! I remember him. Most of the adults at the time didn't like him. But I was a kid and thought he was a blast. He was a little different though.
Cole was DF'd??? Wow.
Yeah Bland was kind of a character, but seemed quite popular.
Lot of names I recognize from this list. Don Friend, Doug Hunter... Then there was Gary(?) Wells. Bobby Christian. Bennett, short little DO tyrant. ANd of course Chuck Velours. Ray Harriman was also a very popular CO back in the 70s.
No Apologies
Milliken and Bishop are the two I remember.
Frank bartel and Koehler? i had both of those guys
Bland was cool, unless you were an elder (I hear) I liked Koehler, but his style started to crystalize my view that the JW's who were smiling had a secret agenda. Koehler in particular never let on too much to what he really thought of the elders.....
Btw, all from my list are from Michigan.... But I hear they get around.... :)
