I love my veggies - there's so much variety.

I cannot eat frozen veggies! The last time I tried I ... well I didn't eat them. I can handle frozen sweetcorn though. Fresh vegitables have a lot more taste and steaming them - yum, keeps their colour and nutrition.

    I love vegetables, also.

Frozen veggies taste pretty good, but fresh is always best.

    It's the canned ones I don't like.

    Right now, I'm frozen. It's 36-degrees F outside (2.2 celcius).

Later today, I'll be fresh - when I grab my wifes' boob...

Oh! Vegetables! Sorry. Ummm... I can eat either... it's all in the preparation - and brand of vegetables that makes the difference.

My wife has one of those fancy even-heating pans that help to keep in the flavor of vegies when they cook.

The important thing is to not over-cook 'em. Most people do - and don't realize it. Somethig about bringing the water to a boil...

    Raw vegies are good too.

Canned vegies... well... I am very cautious about these. I read labels. Most add salt ... and sugar! (Why add sugar?)

I have found one or two brands that do not (usually found in 'health food' stores) - and they can be awesome! Lots of flavor!

So... I guess it all depends on what you like - and the brand of product you purchase.

    Regards,

Fresh, of course! Especially in summer when I get them directly from a local farm. Frozen corn and peas are ok when fresh aren't available...

    and canned....absolutely never!

I much prefer fresh to frozen. But I do love frozen winter squash. With a little salt and some Olivio butter spray it is reminiscent of mashed potatoes without all the fat and calories and more nutritious.

I love all veggies. Have you all tried the Steamfresh vegetables that cook in the microwave? They taste really fresh.

I prefer fresh but there are some good frozen ones. My wife gets some mixed veggie bags that are very good. I don't like caned and that is another topic. What to do with them. I buy them for my earthquake kit but we rarely eat them. I try to rotate them so they have lots of time before they expire and give them way when there are food drives.

I seem to remember reading that in some cases frozen vegetables are more nutritious than fresh ones. Anyone hear of this?

I've heard both about vegetables. But I don't think there's much difference in the nutritional value, the frozen just tastes fresher so we automatically think they are better for us.
