In an effort to reduce costs, I have considered using internet tv programming with a large hd tv connected to my computer. It looks like there is a lot of internet based programming available, and I have watched some of it on my 22" flat monitor. Before I buy a tv that is PC ready, and drop cable, I am looking for resources that would make it work well.

Suggestions on how to do this? Or on sites that offer programming? I know about Hulu and Veoh, but don't know how many other good sites there might be for this idea.

Ideas/suggestions from any who have tried this? Or have looked into this?

    Try Vuze:

If you are concerned about downloading legally, all the content on the Vuze Network is legal.

I like www.fancast.com and I sometimes go to the network sites like ABC or NBC if I miss a fav show.

oompa - I understand the frustration. Feeling it myself. I downloaded Vuse engine and it slowed my pc so badly that I had to remove it again just now.

Thanx, Josie. I am leaning toward the network idea more and more. They make it simple and straightforward at least and they have great players too.

Graboid has almost everything you want...small fee but worth it if you are getting rid of satellite or cable. sammieswife.

We download the shows or movies, burn them to dvd or play them through the computer to TV and the quality is HD. We also get to watch shows that generally aren't available in the USA in our area so that's a bonus as well. We ditched the satellite and after fighting over fees and hidden junk in their contracts, won't be going that route ever again. We find that Graboid is the best for us, althugh Hulu and Fancast are pretty good. sammiesiwfe.

I use a older and I think a better torrent software to download torrents, this is the older version of now what

is called VUZE, it doesn't have all the marketing junk that comes with the newer version which to me in my opinion is better

and it works just as well on VISTA or XP, here is a link to download the file to your computer http://www.oldapps.com/azureus.php?old_azureus=10#Download

There is a set up wizard within the software and instructions

Here are some links to search for movies, music , apps. or whatever
