That's true. I think it depends on when and why one joins the dubs. In my very limited observation, those who were born in or brought in as children tend to become atheists when they leave. Adults who convert to dubism and then leave tend to become fundies. Maybe it's because the adults who leave still have an emotional need that was not fulfilled by the dubs. So they look for other extreme religions to take its place.
Kids, on the other hand, have the WT, Jehovah, the endless rules, boring meetings, and excruciation field service stuffed down their gullets for years. When they leave, they want nothing more to do with the dubs or anything resembling a Christian religion.
To stay on topic, however, I tend to be liberal on most issues, but fiscally, I'm conservative. (I know, it sounds contradictory, but it works for me.)
