I remember my first course in Calculus. The maximum and minimum calculations are awe inspring in their power and simplicity. Took me a while to figure out how they worked, but once you get it, it seems incredibly simple and you wonder how you didn't see it before. Math is one of the most amazing tools we have.

There is recorded history that says man was flying before the flood.

So they would have to know their math.

The Summerian text and the Indian Vedas.

History popped up in Summeria and man was advanced because the Gods from space

    taught them.

I took a class in college about history of mathematics, the egyptian method to find the surface of a circle was incredibly close to Pi and a hundred times easier. I was really impressed with their grasp on things. It just shows that we're not more developed than our ancestors, we've just had more time without a war that wipes out civilization.

    Greetings, BTS:

For a delightful romp through Italy but not without some bittersweet stirrings of the heart and a considerable challenging of the mind, I recommend Young Archimedes, by Aldous Huxley.

I remember my history prof saying that one of the greatest historical puzzles is not why the industrial revolution occurred when it did, but rather why it didn't occur during the Greco/Roman era. They had all the knowledge and tools, yet .........
