    Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study

    BK-NOA1

John Woodmorappe. 1996. Institute for Creation Research, 298 pages.

This remarkable book is the most compete analysis ever published regarding the gathering of animals to the Ark, provisions for their care and feeding, and the subsequent dispersion. The author has devoted seven years to this scholarly, systematic answer to virtually all the anti-Ark arguments, alleged difficulties with the biblical account, and other relevant questions.

John Woodmorappe wasted seven years of his life hiding in denial and writing fantasy.

    For example, he claims:

    * Noah trained each of the animals to crap in a bucket on command in order to make the crap removal process as efficient as possible.

    * There were glowing gems to illuminate the inside of the ark.

    * Noah used hydroponics technology to grow vegetables in darkness.

John Woodmorappe is a coward, and a moron. Unfortunately, he is not alone.

I have the book and I don't believe that he used the word "each" (as in all) for any such training. Furthermore, his reasoning did not depend on any of them using this, any way. Here is his response on this specific issue: "Misleading. I did mention such training as a POSSIBILITY, but in no sense did Ark waste management depend upon this. I emphasized such things as sloped floors, slatted floors, behind-animal gutters, etc., as the keys to efficient waste disposal. None of these things required the prior training of animals in any way, nor even necessarily handling of the waste by the crew."

What's always amazed me is how all the Australian animals made the journey to the middle east, went for a boat ride with Noah and walked, hopped, scurried and swam all the way back again after landing on Mt Ararat. I guess the possoms, platypus, echidnas, anti-chines, koalas, wombats, bilbies, reptiles, macropods, kookaburras, lyrebirds ... carried Australia's unique insects on their backs and their pouches were used to bring back Australian seeds and mountain dwelling fish. The congo-line of bush critters must have been quite a sight.

or did they just get forgot?

This animal can out-debate the Pope and all his bible bashing bishops

She's a fussy eater too, prefering microlina grass (seeds worth $3,000+/kilo).

OK, so are we then to assume that if he didn't train EACH of them, that he just trained one, and they trained the others?

The point is, the man is living in a fantasy world trying to make this grand myth seem plausable in his own mind. It's really sad. And you're right there with him.

It's like the people who read Star Wars novels and then fantasize that the pseudo-science actually could be possible. Perhaps these things DID happen long ago in a galaxy far away. It's actually much more plausable than the Noah story since every branch of REAL science completely disproves the Noah myth. I suggest upgrading to a better form of fantasy if that's your thing.

Australia had it's own arch, manned by a big chief aborigine.
