I almost wept yesterday when I found out I could have federal student loans forgiven if I work at a nonprofit...........
.............oh, the only thing is, you have to make timely payments for the first 10 years.
How many people who work at nonprofits have student loans longer than 10 years?

well if i lived in the states, and the senate just created a rebate on a car I couldnt afford or was never intending to purchase I guess I would be pretty happy about that. So long as I was one of the people that actually still had a job and i worked for a bailed-out financial company that just gave me a million $ bonus for helping tank the economy in the first place and thus creating that bail-out to begin with.

There were tax breaks for large purchases under Bush as well. I received one when I bought a new car in 2007 - I think it was around $1,000 for a $14,000 car (shout out to my Nissan Versa hatchback - I love you!).
