First of all, illegals don't vote. Second, Republicans don't have the problem with illegal immigrants, they try to claim they do. We need to be be aggressively prosecuting the employers of illegals, not trying to catch water in our hands.

I applaud his efforts in doing what Homeland Security will not, to protect us law-abiding U.S. citizens and our republic from hostile, primitive and overtly Marxist 3rd world countries to our Southern borders.

I'd have a hard time shooting someone if I knew they were poor and just looking for a job. Still, it's more than just trespassing, this guy must be sick of trespassers destroying his property.
Again, if anyone really cared about this problem the first (and most humane) thing to do would be go after the bastards that hire them. Otherwise, it's all a show. Not that anyone from any party who proclaims to actually give a damn has done anything.
Wow, beks. For once I agree w/ you (actually more than once ). I've never understood what was so "compassionate" and "Liberal" about allowing illegals to come here jsut to be used as slave labor. That being said, it's not the ranchers problem what law enforcement, govt. etc. is doing about it one way or another. Protecting his family and property, however, is.
Oddly enough Avishai, I believe illegals are incredibly bad for our economy. I think most true progressives do. But to focus all this energy and frankly bullshit on the illegals themselves, is just to lie. It's the jobs they come here to get, and it's the employers we need to focus on. Illegal immigration has increased exponentially since Reagan. Which makes sense if you care for the truth. Cheap labor for the corps, while screaming for fences and border patrol as though that is some kind of answer. As I said above, that is no more than trying to catch water in our hands.
Enforcement should be worked from both ends. But yes, the "pull" factor needs to be eliminated. But still, I knew many good people that were illegals as a Witness. It sucks for them.
