cognizant dissonance for me too but she is a she. Mind you when I first came on here I was stunned by outlaw, warlock and satanus (horrorfying apostates) and had to keep coming back for more.

hillary-step did a lot for the marginalised. I guess its a bit selfish to hope he will come back as he has prolly moved on to other things but hey we have his "discussions" for posterity.

Hillary, to me was one of the sharpest guys here. Very witty! The problem was many just couldn't get his humor. Having said that, at times he went overboard in the belittling department.

I will never forget JCanon's thread saying that Christ would return as a gay man.
That was one outstanding thread. I shall never forget Farkel's answer to the claim, calling JC Cannon one of the shittiest messiah's he's ever heard of.
But who really got me thinking? GaryBuss, amongst many others. He broke the final link for me.

Someone should bring that classic thread up.

There were some wonderful posts at the time that I was reading, lurking soaking up like a sponge all the things that I had inwardly suspected but somebody was putting into words. Perhaps it was that circumstance that made the posts seem so relevant..
I do not like heaping praise on one person but AlanF did so much . The one about "why the WT feels it fair to misquote writers" was very illuminating about their attitude.

Hillary can shear apart a person's view, kinda like eating them alive. Hillary the Surgeon.

One of the things Hilary enjoyed doing was to expose the arguments being put forward to intellectual rigour, something that is often lacking, both inside and outside the wts. For this he was occasionally exposed to rudeness and threats.
Was it me, or do others think that he was understood by Brits and Canadians, but rarely Americans?
Dansk for me laid his heart out here, and made me think
