Some people imagine the crowd in their underwear. I used to pump myself up by listening to LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out". That probably seems pretty strange, considering how rap music is frowned on by the borg. But it worked for me. What worked for you?
Did you have a way to pump yourself up for giving talks?

well for me personally............. i just used to imagine JP listening to mama said knock you out.................. and i found that it was easy to give those bullsh** sessions................ oops i mean talks. that and i just knew if i didnt give it good the birds would eat me at armageddon.

Granted us sisters only had to give 5 min talks - Never had to pump myself up for those - these were people I knew, and if I stuffed up, it wasn't life threatening.

I knew an elder that literally runs to the platform and as soon as he is on the platform, he starts talking. That is the way he is, I am not sure if he is still in the borg, I heard a rumor that he is out, but I am not sure if it is true.

I used to get nervous as a dub giving a talk...had every word written out and hidden in my Bible. I'd still be nervous that my householder would forget her lines.
Now I have to speak at seminars and teach classes... no notes...nothing.. and I never get nervous... it's weird.

Does intentionally "forgetting" to set my alarm clock to remind me that I have a talk count? That way I don't have to give it.

I hated giving talks and cancelled most of them at the last minute. I got to the point where I didn't bother calling the school overseer. I'd just send him an email an hour before the meeting. If he neglected to check his email, that wasn't my problem as far as I was concerned.
