With decisions by bankers etc bringing down financial systems, other situations decisions have had wie ranging consequences makes one wonder if a single decision could bring things down

Nope.
The language is so cleverly contrived and loaded with double speak they could have dubs bbq their firstborn and then talk there way out of it.

Interesting.
If you think about it, when the mighty fall there probably wasn't a thought process that led to it....like, ...."well lets see how this goes....it could be a flaming disaster, but let's try it anyway."
It's more like, "WTF were we thinking???....Why the hell did we do that?"
So, yeah... I think they could make some decision that could start the whole thing unraveling.
One can only hope.

What like cancelling the Book Study you mean?
It would serve them right for taking away the best meeting!

Do you mean like the final straw that broke the camel's back?
I think for many of us, that is what happened. We kept trying to accept mistakes in judgement, unkindness, things that just didn't make sense. We would think something was wrong, but, as counselled, would try not to dwell on the negative. We would focus on the positive until finally something would happen that we just could not ignore anymore.
It's been that 'one thing' that finally makes us get up and walk out of the KH for the last time.
That 'one thing' that finally came after 387 other inconsistencies and injustices to the members.

Oh, yeah. If the UN affiliation all through the 90's didn't bring them down, no so sure that just one decision on it's own could do it.

The Oracle
I think they have already made it. In fact they have made a few.
It's more a matter of discovery.
For every person it is a different major blunder, or ridiculous teaching or decision that causes the light to go on.
I am sure there will be a few more made in the future, but the biggest ones have probably already been made.
As information becomes more and more readily accessible - that is what will bring the WT down (or at least relegate it to an obscure minor cult....oh wait maybe that's already happened - hee hee).
The internet will continue to paly a role with that, however I think the next big thing will be more and more different indiviudals speaking out and reaching out to family members and friends. The Ex-JW factor is reaching critical mass, and it's voice will grow stronger.
